As discussed in today’s Governance Community call, the Councils and Committees structure has incorporated substantial community feedback, through public forum comments and OBRA retro sessions. In response, the full OBRA structure overhaul will proceed at a slower pace, opting instead for a more lightweight OBRA iteration first that invites additional input and engagement throughout the iterative design process.
In terms of the current OBRA structure, onboarding was completed in October for two new initiatives: Goverland’s SEP30 and Kolektivo/Hopper’s SEP42, both of which have shared their initial reporting updates. Looking ahead, OBRA budgets total approximately $271k across all six strategies, with initiatives actively competing for funding. We are currently in Week 2 of Season 4, Sprint 2, with the voting period scheduled to take place from November 13th to 25th.
Applications
To date, OBRA has received a total of 34 applications, with 19 of them being accepted and ratified through voting on Snapshot. The distribution of OBRA proposals based on OBRA strategies has largely remained the same.
There are currently no applications being voted on in Snapshot. As always to find the updated list of OBRA proposals and their details, see our Notion Hub here.
Financial Updates
As of reporting, OBRA has promised $476k to currently active initiatives. The total amount of funding that will be distributed to initiatives this period is ~$69k USD.

Initiative Outcomes
October saw 3 projects complete milestones for a total of 4 achieved milestones.
Initiative | Milestone Completed |
---|---|
Curia | October Governance Analytics Report |
DoDAO | Milestone I: Research & Study |
2077 Collective | Milestone I: EIP-3074 |
2077 Collective | Milestone II: EIP-5003 and EIP-7377 |
Last reporting period we mentioned how the ongoing work in the ERC-7579 space to standardize session validation via a new Smart Session module will result in the deprecation of some existing modules which two initiatives (ZenGuard; and Cometh, Gnosis Guild & OneBalance) had intended to rely upon for their work. As an update, while ZenGuard has now actively ported the modules and are actively testing, for Gnosis Guidl/One Balance/Cometh, the process of rescoping with Safe Governance is still in ongoing.
Additionally, Curia’s continuation initiative has begun, with October’s report marking the first in a series of six monthly governance analytics reports. You can find their October report here. Similarly, 2077 Collective has released new research on Ethereum wallet functionality. Their most recent report is available here.
These updates, along with more details on the progress of OBRA initiatives for the past reporting period, will be reflected on our CES Reporting Summary page here.
